Babyloss Awareness Week is held annually from 9-15 October. It is a special opportunity to mark the brief lives of babies lost in pregnancy, or during, or shortly after birth.

It also aims to provide a chance for people to talk about and raise awareness of losing a baby. The week ends with the international Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day on 15 October.

At 7pm local time, people are invited to light a candle and leave it burning for at least 1 hour to create a global ‘wave of light’ to remember all the babies that have died too soon but still lit up our lives for such a short time.
