MIRACLE TEAM- OUR DREAM COME TRUE

After suffering two miscarriages in 2014 I was in a very dark place. I had a strong feeling something wasn’t right and couldn’t bear to risk going through a third miscarriage, so I began searching the internet for possible answers. I was thrilled to come across Dr Shehata’s website; finally we could confront the problem.

Dr Shehata and his team were friendly and professional. It was clear to us that hardly anyone (if anyone at all!)could equal his knowledge and experience in the field of fertility and miscarriage. We completely trusted his diagnosis and recommendations for treatment. Right away I was sent for tests and it was found that I had natural killer cells and the factor V leiden gene, which were both contributing to my miscarriages. I was soon put on a programme of medical treatment. It felt so wonderful to finally have an explanation for my miscarriages and a plan of action!

Soon enough (within a month of being on the programme!) I was pregnant! We received first class care and treatment which included medication, consultations and scans to monitor the pregnancy. The whole team were fantastic throughout. Louise Jenner, the senior midwife was absolutely amazing; professional yet warm and empathetic. Knowing she was just a phone call or text away was really reassuring and helped to alleviate a lot of my anxiety.

Our beautiful daughter Sofia Elisavet was born on 3rd November 2015, weighing a healthy 7 pounds 6 ounces. She is the most beautiful thing we have ever seen!  Most of the time I can’t quite believe she is mine- was it all a dream?! I never thought I could love something this much!

We cannot thank Dr Shehata, Louise and the whole team enough for all that they did for us. What they do truly changes lives!
